Minutes for March 13, 2002 Meeting
President Geri Brown called the meeting at The Boathouse to order at 7:35 PM.
Beat Officers Report. While Sgt. Dwayne Williams did talk to the assemblage, there was no beat officer's report per se because all the beat officers were attending to other business. Sgt. Williams will email the Marina Bay stats to Geri Brown. He did state that "neighborhood councils have a lot of power" in terms of getting things they want done, and urged residents to call 620-6641 to get rid of campers and encampments in the parks. A resident of The Beach commented that they are looking into video surveillance at their gate.
The Vehicle Watch Program segment with Sgt. Ron Berry will be rescheduled.
TRAC Slide Presentation with Nancy Strauk, Trails for Richmond Action Committee, SF Bay Trail: An interesting slide show was presented about this citizens' action group's plans for expediting the rest of the Bay Trail which is 55% complete. The Bay Trail comprises a 530 mile corridor around San Francisco and San Pablo Bays. Right now the primary focus is around the area from the Harbormasters Office through Point Richmond.
Old and New Business: Sign up for timely email notices about issues and news in Marina Bay and Richmond by sending your email address to: MarinaBayCouncil@AOL.com.
Geri Brown also announced the creation of the Marina Bay Neighborhood Council website at www.MarinaBay.com which is under construction but can be viewed.

Respectfully submitted:
Pat Kiely, Secretary, MBNC
